The sound of ocean waves clapping on white sands added to the applause as friends and family congratulated a glowing bride and groom on the shores of Jekyll Island in southern Georgia this past weekend.
Nearly 200 people gathered for the coastal wedding as Meghan Pittman-Brogdon, gowned in a slender trumpet dress, held a unique bouquet centered around a massive Protea. Lovingly staring into her eyes was the groom, Louis Brogdon, with dark hair combed back and donning a white jacketed tuxedo that is a step beyond his already impressive daily attire. As the couple exchanged love filled vows they both became emotional before making their way back down the aisle hand in hand united as one.
These two defined the term "good people" and were super relaxed and fun to be around. They successfully kept the importance of the day in the forefront of their minds not stressing about a single thing.
I loved photographing this beach wedding primarily because the couple was so wonderful to work with, but I also had the opportunity to utilize unique backdrops on the island. Massive Spanish Moss covered trees and a weathered dock gave a wonderful feel but having the opportunity to sneak away mid-reception for a super quick sunset session was the icing on the cake. I am super thankful that these two wonderful people chose me to document their special day and allowed me to share in a defining life moment.
Congratulations again Meghan and Lou, you guys rock!
